Our Mission

Our Mission A World Free From Cancer

Care and support for people affected by cancer. We envisage a society where no person suffering from cancer is denied the treatment for want of money. A world which has empathy for cancer patients and fills them with positive attitude towards life.

Why We Exist

The Cancer Charity stands for people affected by Cancer. Our objective is to support cancer patients, by providing them with medicines, care and food. We provide home based care to those patients who find it difficult to come to the hospital for treatment. Most of the times Home based care is also supported with counselling for the patients and their families.

Home based care is the lifeline of many patients because not all the patients are able to make it to the hospital because of advancement of disease, long distance and also lack of resources to support the treatment

We reach out to Cancer patients across India, irrespective of colour, caste, creed, religion or class. For those families whose breadwinners are affected by Cancer, we try to minimise the disruptions to the daily life, by taking care of Children’s schooling needs. We work to see each Cancer patient and their family overcome the trauma of Cancer and stand up for life.

Mr. B K Nath

Our Founder

B. K. Nath

The Cancer charity was founded by Mr. B.K. Nath for serving the people affected by Cancer, in the memory of his parents Mr. Kailash Behari and Rajkishori Devi. Mr. Nath had well experienced the pain and realized what it meant to lose a loved ones to Cancer. His mother had succumbed to Liver Cancer in 1988. As a common middle-class person with an office job and responsibility to look after a family of five, Mr. Nath couldn’t muster enough time to set up an institutional mechanism although at a personal level he reached out and supported as many people as he could. His desire to set up an institution to help cancer patients finally found shape and support in form of “The Cancer Charity”. Mr. Nath has set up a professional team to manage the affairs of the organization. His guiding principle for his team is Serve the people affected by Cancer with love, care, empathy & devotion and get them to look “for life”.
